SUPERIORITY CONTEST: FUJI STAR, PASUMA TAUNTS SAHEED OSUPA WITH NEW TITLE "SHEHU OF FUJI"

If you are a Fuji music fan, you are sure to be aware of one fact about the Fuji music industry today. And that is the fact that two of the front line Fuji artistes who have been shaping what happens within their genre for years are like Tom and Jerry of the fabled cartoon series. And like you must have rightly surmised, the duo in question is no other than King Saheed Osupa and the Federal Government of Fuji, Ogan Nla Wasiu Alabi Pasuma.

That the two of them have been at each other's jugular with spiteful given or self-styled titles in the last few years is not new to Fuji music fans world-wide. It all began with Pasuma's emergence as the Second in Command (Otunba) to King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1) back then. At that point in time, while unknown to many, Osupa was shopping for his own response to Pasuma being Otunba, tactically claimed to be a "No Title, No Problem" artiste (Ilesanmi). And no one knew he had got a shocker up his sleeves.

But before Fuji music fans would know what was happening, Osupa in concert with late Fuji music creator, Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister got endorsed as the "King of Music". And while Osupa was getting overly excited and ready to crush anybody in the euphoria of his kingship, Pasuma strategically came with a banger by calling himself "Federal Government" with footnotes that the Federal Government is always superior to any King. And as a riposte to Pasuma, Osupa announced shortly after that he had become the "Lord of Music".

And while they were still playing a ding dong and throwing, both overt and covert tantrums, at each other through their music over that, Pasuma's think thank decided to give Osupa an upper cut by deviating a bit from the already established trend to declare him the "H.O.D" (Head of Department) of Fuji. Being a very smart and creative artiste himself, Osupa did not allow Pasuma to revel for too long in his newly found academic title before he came out with his own smasher as he elevated self to be the "Dean of the Faculty".

And just as Osupa is still thinking he has given Pasuma a knockout with his " Deanship", again Pasuma, in his ever innovative style, has just taken the rivalry to religious dimension by recently announcing self to be the "Shehu of Fuji". Shehu in Islamic doctrine is a cleric of the highest order junior only to prophets in the hierarchy of men of God. And while Pasuma is currently celebrating that, Osupa's fans are obviously waiting for his response to this recent " title" punch from Pasuma.

And only time would tell what Osupa's response would be at this time as he is never found wanting in that regard.
