This is a great feat and it is very authentic.Because there have surely been Kings and Queens in the music industry in Nigeria without any royal authentication. But for very talented Islamic music star, Alhaja Ameenat Ajao popularly known as Obi Rere, she surely has the bragging rights to portray herself as the Queen of Music in Nigeria as she was on Friday, 30th September, 2016, crowned and decorated as such by Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.
The event took place at the palace of the charismatic monarch in Ile-Ife, Osun State, amidst royal blessings and prayers. And what more does one need for authentication of such a lofty and well-deserved title other than the endorsement and certification by a royal father of such magnitude? Hence when next you see Obi Rere also referred to as Ameerah, please affix "Queen" to her name.
