VELETA FRUIT DRINK, FINGER KING SMALL CHOPS, IJEBULAWA GARRI LISTED FOR HONOUR AT IMAN AWARDS 2018


Organisers of Islamic Music and Associated Nominees (IMAN) Awards, Different Stroke Media (DSM), have revealed that 3 major brands in the Nigerian market are going to be honoured at the 2018 edition of the awards scheduled for Sunday, October 28th in Lagos.

According to the Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.) of DSM, Saheed Ojubanire, Intercontinental Distillers Limited's Veleta Fruit Drink would be honoured with a special recognition award as Most Supportive Fruit Drink Brand to Islamic music in Nigeria, Finger King Small Chops with an award of Most Supportive Finger Food Brand To Islamic music in Nigeria and Balkeem Nigeria Limited's Ijebulawa Garri with the award of Most Supportive Staple Food Brand to Islamic music in Nigeria.

Ojubanire stated further that the special recognition awards are coming on the heels of the huge support the 3 premium brands in their respective segments of the market gave to the 2017 edition of the only award event dedicated strictly to Islamic music in Nigeria, there by making the event a resounding success. "And they are all even set to do more as our partner in progress for the 2018 edition. So without any shred of doubt, the recognition awards designated for them are well deserved," Ojubanire intoned.

He also asserted that the awards would be presented by Dr. Ambrose Somide, the Managing Director (MD), Radio Services, DAAR Communications Plc., who was amongst other dignitaries like Dr. Seye Kehinde, the Publisher/ Editor-in-Chief of City People Magazine, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), Mr. Sunday Esan (Okiki Films and Movies Production), Alhaji Wasiu As-Sideeq, Alhaji Latifu Oloto, Alhaji Bolaji Bello and Mr. Dare Saka, inducted into IMAN Awards 2017 Hall of Fame.

Concluding, Ojubanire hinted that nominations for the 2018 edition of the awards would be released in a couple of days for voting by the members of the public to begin.
