London Based Islamic Artiste, Sekinah Opens Couture In Lagos



Penultimate Saturday was a day of celebration for beautiful London based Islamic artiste, Alhaja Sekinah Omidiya, as she opened for business, her Sekinah Couture Limited in Nigeria. The outlet situated at 40, Brown Street, Oshodi, Lagos, was commissioned in an Islamic fashion as top clerics were invited to give lecture and offer fervent prayers for a lucrative business at the fashion store. A new album from her titled: "Sekinah" was also launched simultaneously at the event.

The main lecturer of the day at the event which took place on a space beside Sekinah Couture outlet was a popular and well respected Sheikh Sarkorfi while Sheikh Ainurido Ishola Abolaji also offered prayers for Sekinah and her guests from both Nigeria and London. The president of Islamic Musicians' Association of Nigeria (ISMAN), Alhaji Mumeen Damilola was also in attendance as well as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the association, Alhaji Bolaji Bello (Double B), the Deputy Amira, Alhaja Mujidat Damilola (Wabillahi Taofeeq) and some other members of ISMAN.

The well organised event also had members of the other faction in Islamic music industry known as Professional Islamic Musicians' Association of Nigeria (PISMAN) including their Amira, Alhaja Medinat Ashabi Barry Tide and Alhaja Afusat Oninure, in attendance. Branded by City People Magazine, the event attracted the attention of everyone around the location of the couture from the beginning to the end.

Meanwhile, some of the merchandize available at the couture include imported children wears, ladies wears, shoes, bags, jeweleries, swaroski accessories and back to school items, all at affordable prices.
