OGUN BIG BOY, JIMLAT, BECOMES FELLOW OF ACADEMY FOR ARTS & CULTURE

It was another feather to the loaded cap of Ogun State big boy and popular hotelier, Alhaji (Chief) Jimoh Lateef, better known as JIMLAT on Thursday, 28th January, 2016, as he was admitted into the hall of fame of the Academy for Arts and Culture Nigeria, Ogun State chapter as a Fellow. The event which took place at the NUJ Hall, Iwe Iroyin Press Centre, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, saw some other distinguished personalities from the state being honoured alongside the CEO of JIMLAT International Hotel.

It was the 1st Annual Conference of the Academy in the state and Professor Afolabi Soyode (J.P), former Vice Chancellor, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, was made the chairman of the event and a lecture titled: "Cultural Tourism in National Economic Development: Multipliers & Linkages", was delivered by Professor 'Wale Ogunkola, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ibadan, Oyo State, after which Fellows were inducted by the National Vice President of the Academy, Chief Biodun Ogunbiyi.

Meanwhile, like other inductees, JIMLAT was accompanied to the event by his beautiful wife and a number of close friends from within and outside the state including Chief Ountu and Dr.Oshibote M. Olasunkanmi, the producer of Flenjor Herbal Bitters, who all waited patiently till the end of the more than 3 hour event before taking pictures with their friend who now has FAAC added to his name.
