Oyo
State based popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Ramoni Akanni aka Raymond King is a
happy father as you read this. The classical Fuji singer is happy because his
first child, Sulifat, is about to get married in expectedly, a dignifying
manner as her introduction ceremony held in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, on Sunday,
September 27th, 2015.
The
low-key introduction ceremony between close family members and a couple of
friends of the fiance, Abdul-Afeez Arije Ola-Anobi (who friends call Baggio),
from Oyo town, and that of Sulifat who hails from Ogbomosho took place at her
father's palatial residence in the heart of Ogbomosho.
And
as usual in a Muslim setting, Islamic clerics invited by "Lecturer",
as Ramoni Akanni is some time called, took charge of activities at the
inter-family union which lasted for about four hours. And there was special
Azikhir (praising of Allah and Prophet Mohammed) rendered during the programme
by a friend of Sulifat called Hauwa.
It
is imperative to state that Sulifat who is said to be in her mid-twenties is an
up and coming Islamic artiste herself. Therefore, she is following the
footsteps of her father as an artiste.
There
was so much for everyone to eat and drink while the introduction lasted. And
the date of the wedding proper would be communicated to the members of the
public soon, according to the two families.
