AWARD-WINNING ISLAMIC ARTISTE, RUKAYAT GAWAT OYEFESO'S ADORABLE PICTURES RULE THE SOCIAL MEDIA AS SHE CELEBRATES HER BIRTHDAY

Though it is the last day of the month of June, 2016, but if you ask award-winning female Islamic artiste, Alhaja Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso, the 30th day of the month must have come first as the most important by her reckoning out of all the days of the year. And the reason for that is simple. It is her birthday and from what was obtainable on the social media, the IMAN Awards 2016 Best Female Islamic Artiste of the Year, was well celebrated by family, friends, fans and well-wishers across the world.

Called "Imole" by fans and "Omo Baba Oninure" by those who were familiar with the inimitable philanthropic gestures of her late dad, Alhaji Abdul-Razak Aremu Gawat, a popular Islamic broadcaster on NTA when he was still around, Rukayat surely must have felt unconditionally loved and valued by all the people that matter to her in this world. And that could not have been expressed any better by them than the way they used her adorable pictures generously on all the spaces that were available on the social media throughout the day.

Facebook, twitter,Instagram, bbm, wazz app and the rest of them, she ruled with her different beautiful pictures like an empress does over different territories. And she must have gone to bed on the night as a happier woman.

INEC Presents Certificate Of Return To Uche Ogah As The New Governor Of Abia State

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) today issued the Certificate of Return to Uche Ogah of the Peoples Democratic Party as the new Governor of Abia State. Mr. Ogah received the certificate in Abuja from the Director of Publicity of INEC, Oluwole Osaze-Uzi.

How Senate Rules were ‘amended’ for Saraki, Ekweremadu’s elections – Clerk

The deputy clerk of the National Assembly, Benedict Efeturi, confirmed to police investigators that the senate’s standing orders used for the 2015 elections of Bukola Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu as senate president and deputy respectively, were different from the 2011 version which should have been in use at the time, details of police investigation seen by PREMIUM TIMES show.

Mr. Efeturi made the disclosure to the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department of the Nigerian Police, which investigated allegations that the rules were forged to help Messrs. Saraki and Ekweremadu to their posts.

He however said the alteration, which some senators denounced as illegal as lawmakers were not informed about, was based on the directive of the former senate leadership, led by its president, David Mark.

He said the amendment was done “by convention and practice” and not be “procedure”, as previous versions of the rules were amended by the same method.

Messrs. Saraki, Ekweremadu, Efeturi and a former clerk of the National Assembly, Salisu Maikasuwa, have been charged with forgery. They were arraigned on Monday before a High Court in Abuja.

They deny wrongdoing. The senate president and his deputy accuse President Muhammadu Buhari of bias, and argue that the case is a violation of the independence of the legislature.

In his statement to the police, Mr. Efeturi, who is also the Clerk of the Senate, said the leadership of the seventh Senate under Mr. Mark ordered the 2015 Standing Rules be amended “not necessarily by procedure” but “by convention and practice”.

According to the report, he “stated that the leadership of the National Assembly of the 7th Senate ordered the 2015 Standing Rules as amended by their convention and practice. (He stated) that the Senate Standing Orders 2003, 2007 and 2011 followed the same procedure as that of 2015. He emphasized that in the Parliament, amendment of the Standing Orders is by practice not necessarily by procedure.

“He further stated that during the ruling of the Senate President on the 24th of June 2015, that the Senate Standing Orders of the Senate 2015 is authentic, final, relevant and cannot be challenged. He attached a copy of the debates of the Senate on Wednesday, the 24th of June where the Senate President ruled (that) the Senate Standing Order 2015 as authentic Standing Orders of the 8th Senate.”

“Fraudulent amendment”

Mr. Maikasuwa, who conducted the elections of Messrs Saraki and Ekweremadu, said he did not refer to any Senate Standing Rules, rather, he said he only performed his duty using “normal procedures for the opening of a new parliament”.

He said, according to the police report, “that before the election, he called on the Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly who is also the Clerk to the Senate to read out the guidelines for the election”.

He denied knowledge of the existence or production of an amended Senate Standing Rules 2015, saying he had no business in the daily activities in the Senate.

He told the police Mr. Efeturi was “in better position to know of the 2015 Standing Orders as amended”.

The report says a number of Senators, including Suleiman Hukunyi, Kabiru Marafa, Ahmed Lawan, Abdullahi Gumel, Gbenga Ashafa, Robert Boroffice and Abu Ibrahim, were invited during the investigation.

In their separate statements, they said the seventh Senate did not amend the 2011 Standing Rules and thus, the amendment rules used for inauguration of the eighth assembly was fraudulent since there was no compliance with the requirements for amendment of Senate Rules.

Mr. Lawan, who contested and lost the senate presidency to Mr. Saraki, said, “The procedures for election into the two presiding offices are clearly stipulated in Order 2 (2(i) of the Senate Standing Rules 2011. That contrary to the provision of the above order, the Clerk to the National Assembly introduced and used order 3(3) e (ii) of the purported 2015 Standing Order”.

The report also noted the submissions of some former lawmakers like Ita Enang, who was chairman, Rules and Business in the seventh senate. Mr. Enang, now President Buhari’s assistant on senate matters, told the police that the previous Senate did not amend the rules.

Mr. Ekweremadu accused the police of bias in its investigation.

His spokesperson, Uche Anichukwu, told PREMIUM TIMES that only All Progressives Congress Senators in the Unity Forum—a group opposed to the election of Mr. Saraki – were invited for questioning. He queried the basis for his arraignment as he was neither questioned nor indicted by the police.

In the summary, the police’s CIID said the contents of the 2015 Rules “are substantially different from the Senate Standing Order 2011 as amended” and that “Sections 2(iv), 3(3)EI,ii,iii,G and H, 5 and 7 of the Rules are different in the two Orders”.

“The allusion of the Clerk of the Senate to procedure of amending the Standing Orders of the Parliament through ‘practice and not necessarily procedure’ is a misplaced analogy and undemocratic because the Nigerian Senate has clearly laid down without a proviso, the procedure to be adopted in amending its standing orders as contained in the section 110 of 2011 Senate Standing Orders,” the police said.

It added that, “This practice where some group of senators amend the Rules of the Senate without following legal procedures is not only criminal but portends danger for growing democracy”.

The reported, dated July 14, 2015, was forwarded to the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, to determine “if this conduct constitutes crime or should be treated as an internal affairs of the Senate”.

Saraki, Ekweremadu not mentioned or indicted

In the report, no complaint was raised against Mr. Saraki. He was not indicted. Although Mr. Ekweremadu was also not expressly indicted by the report, he was part of the seventh Senate leadership which Mr. Efeturi said gave orders for the rules to be amended. Mr. Ekweremadu was deputy senate president under Mr. Mark.

The criminal charges came about a year after the report was submitted to the Federal Government.

Mr. Saraki and the three were arraigned before an Abuja High Court on Monday, triggering a war of words between Mr. Saraki and President Muhammadu Buhari.

“That is what infuriated the Senate,” Mr. Anichukwu said. “How could you prosecute Saraki and Ekweremadu who were neither questioned nor indicted in the Police report.”

Dangote Refinery, Fertilizer Projects To Create 235,000 New Jobs

L-R: Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola; His Excellency, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; President/CE, Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote and Group Executive Director, Dangote Industries Limited, Edwin Devakumar during the working visit of VP to the Dangote Oil Refinery and Petrochemical Plants in Lagos.

… FG assures of full support

The Refinery and Fertilizer projects of Dangote Industries Limited is expected to create a minimum of both direct and indirect job of 235,000 new jobs, as it becomes operational in the first quarter of 2019. President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote who revealed this also stated that the projects will cost a minimum of $17bn.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo however assured the Management of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL), of the support of the Federal Government towards the completion of both its Refinery and Fertilizer Companies that are expected to create a minimum of 235,000 jobs. The Projects, which are set to take off in the first quarter of 2019.

Osinbajo after the inspection of the Refinery and Fertilizer last weekend said: “… supporting what you are doing here is not a favour. It is not a favour that would be done to Dangote group, but is an important part of our own up building of the Nigerian economy. As a matter of fact, it is a crucial part of building the Nigerian economy… when people say that somebody is building something, they are doing a refinery at Lekki, your concept of that, the way you visualize that, is a structure somewhere. May be a couple of warehouses or two. That’s how you visualize it. And certainly you don’t think they deserve all the noise and attention and certainly not the money they might have access to. But when you come to a place like this, you fully understand, that this is not just only about building a refinery, it is about building an industrial hub, a modern industrial hub. That is an enormous undertaking. It’s a great thing that is being done here. And frankly, I think that we ought to give this place far more attention both as federal government and state government.”

He assured that the Federal Government will do all within its powers to assist and encourage Dangote to realize his dream of building the biggest refinery and fertilizer companies in the World.

“I am really excited and have been thoroughly educated today. I have always been interested in what the Dangote Group has been doing but I must say that I am much more committed to be a supporter of what you are doing here, and to see to it that in whatever way, shape or form we are able to contribute to this. I was telling the President yesterday afternoon that we would be coming here today, he said “yes, yes, yes, we need to encourage him. We need to encourage him.” I am sure he also felt like look, there’s a need to do something.”

Earlier, President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote told the Vice-President that the $12 billion refinery would have a capacity of 650,000 barrels a day. He assured that there will be market for the refined products because even in Africa, only three countries have effective functioning refinery with others importing from abroad.

Dangote named the countries with refinery as Egypt, South Africa and Cote ‘de voire saying our refinery be ready in the first quarter of 2019. Mechanical completion will be end of 2018 but we will start producing in 2019.”
When the projects fully takes off in 2019, Dangote said it will effects help the country save $5 billion spent on the importation of oil into the country.

The Refinery, Petrochemicals and fertilizer in one spot according to him is the single largest stream in the world. “This site is the biggest site in the world, the refinery is the biggest single refinery in the world, the petrochemicals is 13 times bigger than Eleme petrochemicals while the fertilizer plant will be 10 times bugger than former National Fertilizer company.

He explained that the project with the  $2 billion fertilizer unit  was the funded through loans, export credit agencies and our own equity.
The Vice-President further assured that the federal government would harness the potentials of the private sector to make the nation economy recover speedily.

Dangote explained that the diversification of Nigeria economy was long over-due and that one sector that Nigeria can focuses on  to rejuvenate the economy is agriculture.

He stated that his investment in fertilizer is one sure way the diversification into agriculture could succeed because according to him, it will amount to little if focus is directed to agriculture and fertilizers would be imported.

Said he: Agriculture is the way to go, but a critical component of that sector is fertilizers, Nigeria has more arable land than China which now is the biggest economy in the world, we can tap into our vast land and produce what we need and even export  the remaining.
“By the time we complete this project, there will be opportunity to take on agriculture and say bye to poverty, because there will be jobs, no sector has more job potential than agriculture”

Dangote said the project was an ambitious one and that when completed it will give Nigeria a new economic direction in the quest for diversification of the economy, as excess products would be imported to give Nigeria the much needed foreign exchange. That is when diversification starts.

YORUBA MOVIE STARS, ISLAMIC MUSIC STARS STORM YOVIPMAN 2016 RAMADAN LECTURE

The 2016 edition of annual Ramadan Public Lecture organized by members of Yoruba Video Film Producers/ Marketers Association of Nigeria (YOVIFPMAN) was held on Tuesday, 28th June, at the Army Arena Shopping Complex, Oshodi, Lagos. And expectedly, the event which had respected cleric, Fadheelat Sheikh Abdul-Fatai Muhd. Raji Al-Thaqofy as the guest lecturer was massively attended by galaxy of stars from the Yoruba movie and Islamic music industries who are apparently partners in progress with YOVIPMAN since it is the production/ marketing of their artistic works that is the business of YOVIFPMAN.

Activities for the event which was mainly anchored by a celebrated Islamic master of ceremonies, Alfa Semiu Ademola, started effectively around 2 pm with a welcome address by the National President of YOVIFPMAN, Alhaji Abdullahi Abdul-Rasak, the CEO of Corporate Pictures, who said that the Ramadan Public Lecture series started five years ago at the former stomping ground for marketers in Idumota before their relocation to the Arena. And that the 2016 edition was the second in the series being held at the Arena. He then hinted that the purpose for instituting the lecture series was to feed one another with the words of God during the holy month. He added that the planning for this year’s edition started late which gave room for some hiccups but that they would surely be mindful of their timing next year. He prayed for and thanked everyone for coming before dropping the microphone.

Right after the Corporate Pictures boss declared the event officially opened as he closed his welcome address, soaring Islamic hip hop artiste, Addis Nigger was invited to the stage to show the gathering the stuff he is made of and the young talented act who is fond of addressing himself as” Islamic hip hop number 1” gave a good account of himself while his performance lasted. His performance was followed back to back by two Azhikir oriented female Islamic artistes in the persons of Opeyemi Jemila (Omo Sheu) and Alhaja Rashidat Al-Mowiy (Omo Sheu), and they both showcased their talents respectively to the admiration of their attentive audience.

And with the guest lecturer already seated and waiting impatiently to discharge the responsibility assigned to him, no further time was wasted for the lecture themed: “Ticket To Heaven” to begin as IMAN Awards 2016 Best Islamic Artiste in Stage Performance, Alhaja Mistura Aderohunmu Ashafa better known as Temi Ni Success, was called upon to use her exceptional stage craft to invite Sheikh Al-Thaqofy to the podium for his lecture. And trust the young award-winning singer, she went into her repertoire and brought out songs that were apt for the occasion such that the lecturer could not resist sending one of his protégés to spray her some crisp Naira notes. Meanwhile, before anybody could say Jack Robinson, her colleagues had also waltzed to the stage to spray her money for representing them well, and it was only time factor that cut that short.

When the microphone was handed over to the Sheikh, those who were familiar with his inimitable humour-infused style of lecture knew they were in for both interesting and educative time as his lecture is always loaded with the two in equal proportions. And predictably, Sheikh Al-Thaqofy who ensured everyone was attentive by shutting out all forms of distractions with a regimented form of control and command (like a commandant in the Army Arena venue would have done) over the movements and discussions by his audience, gave his audience an interestingly educative lecture in full dose. And with the way he picked on most of the personalities in attendance against any slight infraction they mistakenly committed, everyone fell into line while his lecture lasted. Most importantly, no one would have done a better justice to his lecture topic than what he did as he brought in facts from Ifa, Christian and Islamic religions to drive home his points all through his delivery.

With the Sheikh done with his lecture and appreciated with mint Naira notes by most of the personalities in attendance for an impressive outing, musical performances returned to the stage as Alhaja Afusat Oninure, Alhaji Wasiu As-Sideeq who thrilled the audience with his usual stage presence and sublime delivery and Alhaja Tayibat Omatayenfe, all performed in quick succession to save time that was already running out. There was then a break in the performances for Fadhilat Sheikh Abdul-Rasheed Abdul-Raman to offer a prayer for the gathering but the cleric who was prepared for more than just a prayer turned the exercise into a mini lecture which was interesting though, and a welcome development to most of the members of the audience except for those who were too deep into the music mode which was put on hold for him to “pray”.

Without further ado, musical performances resumed as soon as the Sheikh dropped the microphone with Barry Tide who gave a good account of herself before IMAN Awards 2016 Best Male Islamic Artiste of the Year, Saoty Arewa took over the stage and showed to everyone effortlessly why he is the best male in the industry. It was another IMAN Awards 2016 winner in the category of Face of Islamic Music, Female, Aminat Omotayebi, that took over the baton of performance from Saoty Arewa, and trust the Ameera General of Islamic Musicians’ Association of Nigeria (ISMAN), she also proved why her face carries the unmistakable identity of the industry. The next act in line was the IMAN Awards 2016 Best Female Islamic Artiste of the Year, Alhaja Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso who wowed those who had not seen her perform in recent times and they all became obviously convinced that she is undisputedly the unbeatable female artiste in the industry.

Some other Islamic artistes including Alhaja Sophiat Iyankaola, Alhaja Mujidat Wabillahi Taofeeq, Senwele Anobi and a host of others performed before the event well put together by the marketers was brought to a close for people to go home and break their fast. And some of the marketers who were conspicuously present apart from their president included multiple award-winning Okiki, Epsalum, Olasco, Hasolad, Couple Pictures, Alpha Murphy, Toymax, Initiative Pictures, Al-Maroof Standard Investment, and many others. And socialites cum transporters like Alhaji Akanni Olohunwa, MC Oluomo, Kammal Pappy, as well men from the music organization of Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma who was still holidaying abroad, including Ididowo Mathew, Waheed Awoko, Alfa Lilafi and popular cleric, Sheikh Olanrewaju Al-Fulany and Fuji star, Abass Akande Obesere, all honoured the marketers with their presence.

Some of the movie stars who stormed the event included: Oga Bello, Olaiya Igwe, Yinka Quadri, Abbey Lanre, Ogogo, Sanni Alli, Yetunde Wunmi, Fathia Balogun, Ayo Adesanya, Afeez Eniola, Afeez Owo, Fali Werepe, Oyiboyi, Madam Saje, Wazo, Baraka, Ara, Muka Ray, Adio Majeter and many others.

But that is the reality popular Ogun State based Gospel/Juju artiste, Akinola Ayoola Michael better known as Alayo Melody Singer is set to achieve in Abeokuta. And wait for this: it is not going to be his first time of single-handedly organizing Ramadan Lecture for Muslim populace in the Rock City as 2016 edition would be the 3rd in his annual Ramadan Lecture series.

According to a very reliable piece of information reaching Saheed Ojubanire Online, the theme for this year’s edition is: “Unity In Religion Peace of The Nation” on which lectures would be delivered by two respected Islamic clerics in the persons of Sheikh Abdul Lateef Ademoye Yar Sataar as Spiritual Father and Lecturer 1 and Sheikh Jamiu Tiamiyu (Iyanuolorun) as Guest Lecturer 2, at Alayo Chamber, Lafiagi Elega, Abeokuta, on July 4th, starting by 3pm prompt.

And if what happened at the 2015 edition of the annual Ramadan Lecture series is anything to go by, there would also be provisions for everyone attending the lecture to break their fast on the bill of thier Christian host of the Celestial denomination. And that goes to show that Alayo Melody Singer who is fond of infusing Islamic lyrics into his melodious songs when he is on stage to satisfy his teeming Muslim fans is not just an artiste but a musical Ambassador of peaceful co-existence between Muslims and Christians in his environment.

Celebrity Cele Pastor,Israel Ogundipe Turns Juju star, Mega '99's Drummer At Late Dad's 41 Day Obsequies

Expectedly, the crowd was mammoth. And like some witty Yoruba speakers would say, the crowd was populated by both ordinary people (ero) and distinguished personalities (eeyan). For those who know Celebrity Cele Pastor, Israel Oladele Ogundipe of Genesis Model Int'l, a parish of Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) situated in Agbado area of Lagos very well, that should not be a surprise. The young and upwardly mobile man of God is a crowd puller any day, any time, he is having an event. Those who witnessed his 40th birthday celebration not long ago would attest to that fact.

Meanwhile, what event was he having in this instance? You must be wondering. It's Friday, June 17th, 2016, and it was exactly 41 days after the demise of the pastor's aged dad, Pa Solomon Ogundipe (JP) aka Ijoba Orun Loku, and like it is done in Yoruba Land and some other places, that called for some sort of ceremony to bid the deceased farewell to eternity. Hence, the ceremony was held with lots of funfare in front of late papa's house somewhere in Agbado as the whole of the street and some adjacent nooks and cranies were taken over to sit guests.

Since the pastor simply called Genesis is someone highly reverred by Christian gospel singers and juju artistes alike, there was more than enough live music on the bandstand which was set up by award-winning artiste, Mega '99 with his instruments under his branded tent. And as a free minded music star, Mega '99 was liberal enough to allow other artistes that jostled to get hold of the lead microphone perform ahead of him before he eventually came up to do the final performance of the event late in the evening.

And probably, to show his appreciation for Mega '99's kind gestures, Genesis caught many of his guests unaware as he went straight to the stage to take over the drum from Mega '99's lead drummer, and he was able to exhibit another side of him aside from pastoring that many did not know about. More surprising was the fact that he came up stage at a point in time Mega '99 just began to sing a slightly modified version of Apala singer, Musiliu Haruna Isola's Soyoyo song. Mega '99 was just on the part which had "Konko Below..." and other popular lines that brought the Apala crooner fame and fortune some years back.

Meanwhile, with the way Genesis beat the drum and got every sound of the song note for note quite right, arguably, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1)'s lead drummer, Ayinla Oluperi could not have done better. Not even Pasuma's Consoliday Sharafa, Saheed Osupa's Sunday Oluperi,
or even, Musiliu Haruna Ishola's Ode Bembe who created the beat in the first instance would have done better. The performance practically showed not only Genesis' mastery of drumming but also how he pays attention to details when he listens to music.

The question his performance left in the minds of many of those who watched his deft display on the stage was that: was he at any point in time a professional drummer with a band? Hope someone could just provide an answer to that poser.

The video of the performance is available on YouTube via this link: https://youtu.be/zNh00Uynuvk

Fuji Star, Saheed Osupa, Celebrity Islamic Cleric, Buhari Musa Pull Crowd

... As Popular Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Muri n Bariga Holds Ramadan Lecture

The 2016 edition of annual Ramadan Public Lecture of popular Bariga,  Lagos State based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Muri n Bariga, was held on Sunday, June 12th, at an open ground within Sholanke area of Akoka,  to keep the tradition of first Sunday of every Ramadan period lecture intact.

Despite the heavy rain that greeted the early hours of the day and the light shower of rain that dotted the rest of the day, the event which had Fuji music superstar,  King Saheed Osupa in attendance and celebrity cleric, Sheikh Buhari Omo Musa delivering the main lecture, still attracted a mammoth crowd as everyone defied the wetness of the day to be part of the event.

The event kicked off some minutes to 12 noon with musical performances by Islamic artistes within the fold of Ile Nla, an ever expanding Islamic sub group with strong spirit of comeradeship and cameraderie established by Baba n Bariga as Sheikh Muri n Bariga is fondly called by his adherents,  and every performance by the talented artistes from Ile Nla was a "hit, back to back."

Shortly before the captain of all the wavemaking Islamic artistes within the sub group and IMAN Awards 2016 Best Male Islamic Artiste of the Year,  Alhaji Abdul-Salam Azeez Abiodun Ajiroba popularly known as Saoty Arewa arrived to navigate the course of performances on the stage, award-winning female singer,  Ummu Niyass who emerged IMAN Awards 2016 Best New Female Islamic Artiste of the Year, had started dazzling the growing gathering with an electrifying performance and it took the arrival and strong persuasion of Saoty Arewa to make her leave the microphone for the next act, Musa Alase, as she was literally glued to it.

Now in hold of the microphone, Musa Alase did not disappoint anyone with his own performance too as he took the tempo of the music some notches higher than where the female artiste before him left it.  Meanwhile, as if he knew many from the crowd which had already filled up the smaller venue of the lecture, compared to where was used the previous years,  CMS Grammar School,  Bariga, before the recent Lagos State Government regulation forbiden the use of school premises for event forced the new venue on the lecture, could not wait to hear him sing, Saoty Arewa gave a cameo performance right after Musa Alase stopped.

However, before the gathering would get too carried away by his very interesting delivery of good music, Saoty Arewa diplomatically invited Lady Saruji to perform and her performance was followed by that of Opa Suffi and then,  Hamuda Yusuf performed before handing over the microphone to Oninure after whom Musa Alase returned for a second performance through what looked like a special privilege of being "the golden son of Ile Nla."

As time was running out, to set the ball of the event proper,  rolling after Musa Alase's second coming, Sheikh Mohammed Yusuf Agbaji was called upon to give the opening prayer by proteges of popular Islamic presenter, Alfa Anasri who was supposed to be the main anchor but had not arrived. After that, there was recitation from the Holy Quran by brother Tajudeen Abdul-Majid. Then Saoty Arewa returned to the bandstand to invite the recent winner of IMAN Awards 2016 Best Female Islamic Artiste of the Year, Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso to the stage for her performance.

And like the best among the rest in 2016 that she is, the dark complexioned pretty singer gave a performance which confirmed that her award was well deserved. The well swallowed dose of entertainment she gave was followed by presentation of a special gift by Saoty Arewa Fans Club to Baba n Bariga. And right after that, another sensational female Islamic artiste, Iyan n Kaola was called upon to perform which she did with a lot of ease typical of artistes who know their onions.

With more than enough music already delivered to engage the gathering, the first short lecture and prayer of the day was rendered by Hustaz Shefiu Akewugbade. And that was followed with a similar exercise by Sheikh Awikonko, and by the time the Sheikh would be done with his own short lecture, Alfa Anasri had arrived and he took over the anchoring of the event from his proteges. His first duty was to raise funds for a proposed big Mosque to be built by Ile Nla members and that exercise was carried out with his trademark finesse of language and act.

It was while he was doing that that King Saheed Osupa arrived amidst the usual frenzy of excitement from the audience and the Fuji music sensation made sure he went round to acknowledge the cheers he was getting before he took his seat on the high table. And as if on cue, the main lecturer of the day, Sheikh Buhari Musa stepped in few munutes after the king of music's arrival.

Without further ado, Sheikh Buhari Musa was called upon to deliver his lecture titled "Atubotan" which he did total justice to amidst his trademark jocular approach which got the gathering drenched in his important messages softly. And to round off the lecture, he invited Saheed Osupa to relate with the audience who was already inching to hear his voice. The ever prepared artiste deliver an acapella tune which was like a lecture in itself before he dropped the microphone to the applause of the audience.

Before they started to leave at about 6. 30 pm, most of the attendees were handed edibles packaged in lylon bags to break their fasting of which time to break must have clocked before they would reach home.

Sad: Popular Nigerian Juju Artiste Loses Wife

As you read this, one of the popular Juju artistes in Nigeria, Seancor Dare Nuga is in a mourning mood. Why? The talented artiste who is currently on a music tour in the United States of America has just lost his darling wife, Aduragbemi, to the cold hands of death back in Nigeria.

According to the stylish musician whose fans simply call Seancor, in a  chat with Saheed Ojubanire Online few minutes ago,  Aduragbemi was supposed to join him in the US on the 24th of this month but sadly,  that is never going to be as she just passed on in Ipaja, a Lagos suburb, hours ago. And the artiste who was too broken down to give further details about the circumstances that surrounded the death of his better half promised to do so as soon as he is in a better shape.

All he could muster when asked for details were: "My wife", " Aduragbemi Banjo", "Only one in my life. "
