TOP INDEGENOUS MUSIC VIDEO DIRECTOR, BIG DOO THROWS SUBTLE JIBE AT COLLEAGUE, DARE ZAKA ON FACEBOOK
Though, he might not have done that it intentionally, but Saheed Ojubanire Online can report to you without any fear of contradiction that top indigenous music video director, Oladipo Orishadipe popularly known as Big Doo has thrown what can be inferred as a subtle jibe at a fellow and also popular music video director, Dare Zaka on his Facebook page.
The post which came up in the morning of Tuesday, March 7th, 2017, by Big Doo read:" Bigdoo Kreative dream doesn't become reality through MAGIC (emphasis, the blogger's) it takes strong determination and hardwork. Gdm my luvly friends. Lobatan." Wondering how that becomes a subtle jibe at Dare Zaka? Please read on.
The duo of Big Doo and Dare Zaka remains the top two and best two directors when it comes to creating intelligent concepts and executing them in indigenous music video productions, most especially, in the Islamic music industry. Any good video you see out there, if it is not directed by Dare Zaka, it would be directed by Bigdoo. And that has over the years created a healthy rivalry between the duo.
A case in point was when the first major industry awards for Islamic music started in 2016, Islamic Music and Associated Nominees (IMAN) Awards, and the two of them were amongst few others, nominated in the category for the Best Director of Islamic Music Video of the Year, a lot of rumblings went behind the scene from the two camps. While they were both almost sure the award would be won by either of them, there was also the fear that A or B, was closer to the organisers which could give the person an edge.
But because the organizers kept the names of winners at the awards to their chest till the day of the event, as one of the cardinal rules to the project, neither of Big Doo nor Dare Zaka showed up at the awards they were both well aware of due to the fear of losing the coveted plaque to the main competitor while being physically present in the hall, as was later found out.
So, the rivalry between Dare Zaka and Big Doo don tay, no be today, like they say in the street. Notwithstanding that, how does Bigdoo's post become a jibe at Dare Zaka, to those who can read between the lines? Wait for it. While the business name of the writer of the post remains Big Doo Kreative Entertainment, the person suspected the jibe is directed at uses Magic Touch Media Concept!
So, to the eagle eyed reader of the post, to say: "Big Doo Kreative dream doesn't become reality through MAGIC it takes strong determination and hardwork..." is like saying Vice President Yemi Osibanjo's Godfather lives in Bourdilion and expect people who know the popular area in Lagos would not think the reference is to Senator Bola Tinubu.
But like it was stated above, Big Doo may not have done that intentionally. Lobatan (And that sums it)! Like he always says.

LAGOS NURTW TOP SHOT, KOKO ZARIA DISPLAYS LOVE FOR NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS ON INSTAGRAM
Though February 14, the Valentine's day has gone by, but love seems to still be in the air hovering around a Lagos State chapter of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) top shot, Alhaji Ganiyu Ayinde better known as Koko Zaria. And this love that seems to know no bounds is for a sultry Nollywood actress, Awele Odita.
The Delta born Yoruba actress had been in the grapevine for a long while as far as the story of a hush hush lovey-dovey between her and the super rich NURTW dude is concerned, but that had always been occasioned with denial and counter denial from both ends. But now the veil has apparently been taken off it with a recent Koko Zaria's post on his Instagram page.
The post has a mixed picture of Awele and Koko Zaria together with a comment: "Aya Olomu original, take it or leave it, I love you like kilode @aweleodita7." And Awele herself replied too in the comments section that: "I love you too my King."
Finally, the rumour that Koko Zaria had been the man behind Awele's smile in recent times has now been given credence.

POPULAR DRUMMER, SUNDAY OLUPERI QUITS SAHEED OSUPA'S BAND FINALLY!
This is spicy hot. And it is authoritative. Popular drummer with Fuji music star, King Saheed Osupa's band, Sunday Balogun popularly known as Oluperi has quit the artiste's band for good.
Oluperi who conveyed his decision via a Facebook post on his page few days back by declaring that he had finally decided to stop being a member of Saheed Osupa's band and that if he is however seen anywhere close to where Saheed Osupa is performing, people should know that he had possibly gone there to enjoy himself and not to be a drummer on the stage.
And to confirm the genuity of that position by Oluperi, Saheed Ojubanire Online took time out to attend a movie launch in Ajegunle (Apapa) where Saheed Osupa was billed to perform on Thursday, March 2nd, 2017, and Oluperi was conspicuously missing on the stage from the beginning to the end of the band's performance.
And when this blog took time to enquire from one or two band members why Oluperi was not on the stage, it was further confirmed that Oluperi had not been performing with the band since he made the Facebook post. More so, there was no report of any misunderstanding between Oluperi and Saheed Osupa.
Meanwhile, this would not be the first time Oluperi would be quiting the band but later returned. Though, the last time which was about three years ago when Oluperi walked away, there was an issue between him and Saheed Osupa. But this time around, Oluperi is said to have only decided to move on with his life.

Top Juju/Highlife Singer, Big Tee Stages Talk Of The Town Album Launch In Abeokuta
As City People Entertainment Honours Him
Though the year 2017 is still in its early stage, but Saheed Ojubanire Online can report to you authoritatively that one of the best showbiz events of the year yet, has been staged in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The date was Sunday, 26th February, 2017, the venue was the prestigious Daktad Hotel and Suites, off Quarry Road, and the event was the album launch of soaring Juju/Highlife crooner, Taiwo Oguntade better known as Big Tee Elesemeta.
Unlike most events of its ilk when the pre-event hype would dwarf the event proper, that was not the case when the charismatic Big Tee launched his album titled: " Gratitude" as the launching lived far beyond expectations in terms of planning, organization and the eventual delivery.
With two of the best hands in the business of compering high profile events in Ogun State in the persons of Musiliu Sanni better known as Mr. Bebe and Wale Dada The Good manning the stage, the event began with expected preambles of comical and musical performances on the stage.
Apart from the main MCs cracking the ribs of the audience with inimitable jokes, other humour merchants like Dapo Enle Daddy and Adekunle Anibaba a.k.a. MC NDA, also came up stage to spice things up with more jokes. Meanwhile, talented singer, A.M.O. Musical set the tone for a relay of musical performances as the likes of Lord's Kenge, Ayan Jesu and few others exchanged the microphone after him, like a baton, to put the audience in the right frame of mind for an entertaining outing.
For the main event to take off effectively, the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Akinyemi Olatoye better known as Alawiye Federation, who had earlier stood in for the MCs to engage the audience who arrived early, was called upon to give a Welcome Address. And trust the articulate Chairman of the Ogun State chapter of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters' Association of Nigeria (FIBAN), he did so articulately with a good sense of humour and honour for everyone who spared the time to come celebrate with Big Tee.
After a few recognition of digniteries in the midst was later taken by the MCs, the launching proper had to begin. But before then, the foremost entertainment promoting platform in Nigeria, City People Entertainment which supported the event had something special for Big Tee. And it was a Special Recognition Award for his immense contribution to the growth of Juju/ Highlife Music in Ogun State, Nigeria. The prestigious award was personally presented to Big Tee by the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of City People Magazine, Dr. Seye Kehinde, who arrived very early to be part of the event.
Afterwards, the launching part of the event began in earnest as dignitaries, starting with Engr. Mutiu Adebowale (MT), the outgoing president of Abeokuta Sports Club, the Chief Launcher, began to launch the new album generously. But a former Commissioner for Youths and Sports in Ogun State, Hon. Bukola Olopade better known as Ozogula, who currently operate in the private sector, stole the show when it was his turn to launch as the Chairman of the event. After he had pledged a very substantial sum by himself to launch the album, he further launched the album on behalf of who referred to as "the future governor of Ogun State," Senator Adeola Olamilekan (Yayi), with a sum of two thousand dollars which he paid in raw cash immediately!
Others who generously launched the new album included: Dr. Taiwo Sogunle, Mr. Kehinde Osifade, Dr. Alayaki, Mr. Yinka Fisher, Sir Demola Aladekomo, Prof. Bayo Akinde, Chief Ogo-Oluwa Bankole, Mr. Akeem Adeola, Engnr. Alexander Madoye, Hon. Adijat Oladapo and few others.
While the event was going, guests were already being treated to sumptuous meals of Amala, Semo, Jollof and Fried Rice, according to their choices and there assorted alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to wash the meals down. And unlike in many other album launch, there was no selective serving of food or a case of no food for not wearing the chosen wine colour dominated Ankara aso-ebi. Everybody got served and some event ate twice despite the hall bring filled to capacity.
There was cutting of cake in celebration of the new album as coordinated by Dr. Seye Kehinde while Big Tee was flanked by amiable wife, Ozogula and the newly elected FIBAN President, Desmond Abiodun Nwachukwu as they all held the knife to the cake. And right after the cake was cut, talented artiste, Alayo Melody Singer mounted the stage to sing for Big Tee and his guests. The microphone was later taken over by lewd singer, Snt. Janet before the event was brought to a close late in the evening.
Others who
graced the event apart from those mentioned already were Lukdab, Wole Papa,
Ogodo Jesu, Mr. Beula, Chelsea Bobo, Tantala, Makinde Fasunle, Yemisi Bangbose,
Eniola Sodiya, Jaske Mama, Boye Best, Rafiu Dangote and a host of others.
