IMAN Awards 2016 Voting Period, Event’s Date Shifted

This should be good news to those who have agitated for it. Since the
release of nominations for Islamic Music and Associated Nominees
(IMAN) Awards’ categories on Monday 4th April, 2016, the organizers,
Synergy Media, have revealed that they have been bombarded with phone
calls and text messages from a good number of nominated artistes
seeking for more time to canvass their fans home and abroad to vote
for them.

“And since the award event belongs to the industry, the voice of the
players within must be hearken by us, hence, owing to popular demand,
we have bowed to the pressure to extend the voting period to Sunday,
15th May, 2016, while the award event would now hold on Sunday, 22nd
May, 2016, at Quadosh Place, Plot 92 to 95, Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun
Road, Ikeja, Lagos.” Synergy Media’s Press Release stated in part.

According to the organizers, apart from nominees having more and
equitable time to sell themselves to voters and have a fair contest
with others in the same category, the major benefit of the shift is
that a television partnership arrangement sealed between Synergy Media
and Tiwantiwa Television on Consat, Ipnx, filmontv in Europe and
America and StarTimes can, during the period of the extension, be
fully exploited by interested nominees to showcase their talents to
viewers and thereafter canvass for the viewers’ votes on air. And this
window is said to be opened to all Islamic artistes nominated FREE of
charge!

“All they have got to do is to call Saheed Ojubanire on this line:
07034570500 or Ola Muhammed on: 08087251228, to be scheduled for
appearance on the digital television station situated at 31, Toyibat
Street, Medina Estate, Gbagada Church, Lagos State. Interested Islamic
artistes, after they must have called to be put on schedule, are
expected to go to the television station for recording on any Thursday
convenient for them starting from Thursday 21st April till Thursday,
12th May, 2016. For the purpose of emphasis, the recordings would be
on Thursdays only between the hours of 8am and 4pm,” the Press Release
revealed.

Meanwhile, the organizers have also disclosed that all nominees shall
be issued Certificate of Nomination at the award event after winners
must have emerged in all the categories. “No stone would be left
unturned to make the awards the most memorable for Islamic artiste in
Nigeria,” they assured.

Synergy Media Releases Nominations For IMAN Awards 2016

The much awaited nominations for different categories of Islamic Music and Associated Nominees (IMAN) Awards 2016 have been released by the organizers, Synergy Media.

According to the organizers, to vote for any nominee in the categories, Islamic music fans and followers alike, only need to type IMAN Awards 2016 followed by the serial number of the category of the nominee on the list in bracket and then, type the name of their preferred nominee as written on the list. For example: IMAN Awards 2016 (1) Lanre Teriba or IMAN Awards 2016 (2) Tope Alabi and they can now send it to either of these two numbers: 08059695351 or 08036088677.

Meanwhile, according to the organizers, only one vote from a phone number would count as against multiple votes from the same phone number for a nominee in a particular category. But one phone number can vote for preferred nominees across all the categories, or better still, one nominee from each category.

“The beautiful thing about IMAN Awards is that any nominee can win in any category, so long they have the highest number of votes. So, nominees can engage their fans to vote for them to brighten their chances,” the organizers hinted.

Below are the nominations and voting ends on April 24th, 2016. The award event is scheduled to hold on May 1st in Lagos.
